Bookings & Payment
- All bookings are subject to availability.
- Secure your preferred date by booking early.
- A deposit or prepayment may be required to secure your booking with payment details provided during bookings.
Cancellations
- Cancellations more than 7 days prior to the service, no charge, full refund if payment made.
- Cancellations 2 – 6 days prior to the service, 50% charge and 50% refund if prepayment made.
- Cancellation within 48 of the booked service or no show, 100% charge, no refunds.
- We will do our best to cater to any amendments but this is availability dependent with no guarantees.
Weather changes / Road closures
- In the event that tours are cancelled or delayed due to weather or road closures, we will contact the customer as soon as possible and an alternative trip will be offered.
- If an alternative tour is not available, refunds will be at the discretion of Guided Tours.
Dietaries
- Dietary requirements can be catered to on all of our tours but must be advised at time of booking.
Inclusions
- Please see the details of each individual tours inclusions for information on what is included in the tours.
- Bottled water is included on all of our tours, however, please note that drinks are not included with the food options in our tour packages. Drinks can be purchased on the day and paid directly to the vendor.
Upgrades
- Upgrades include the Dart River Wilderness Jet Experience, Milford Sound fixed wing or helicopter flight, Glacier Explorers Boat Trip and Mt Cook scenic helicopter flight.
- Our tours are private, but add-on activities such as helicopter flights and jet boat rides are provided by an external business and maybe shared with other customers.
- All upgrades are weather dependent and may be cancelled at short notice or anytime during the tour.
- Availability of the add-on activity may also be limited by the operator’s minimum numbers.
- In the event an upgrade is cancelled due to weather or minimum numbers not being met that additional component for these upgrades will be refunded.
Children
- Parents/care-givers are responsible for taking care of children at all times.
- There is no charge for children 2 and under on our tours.
- All children 6 and under are required to be in a child restraint in the vehicle. Child restraints are offered on our Guided Tours product on a complimentary basis.
- Our tours are all inclusive and everyone is welcome. However, our Milford Experience & Aoraki Mt Cook extended full day tours are 12 hours long and involve considerable driving time. These tours must be completed within a 12 hour timeframe to protect our drivers and meet legal requirements regarding fatigue. Due to this we ask parents to consider whether these are appropriate tours for their children.
Wine Tours
- Wine tasting can only be participated in by people over the age of 18.
- Wine tours are not available on Christmas Day, Good Friday, Easter Sunday & Anzac Day.
- Please note that winery selections may vary based on availability, ensuring a diverse and dynamic experience that highlights the best of the region's wine culture.
Guided Hikes
- Our Guided Hikes season runs from October -April
- Participants are required to follow safety guidelines and instructions by tour guides at all times. The guide may use their discretion to change the itinerary or cancel the hike, taking into account their knowledge of local conditions, weather and the capabilities of the group.
- Guests are required to bring their own clothing and footwear appropriate for walking outdoors. Participants must dress appropriately for the weather conditions, bearing in mind that weather can change quickly in this alpine region. Temperatures can drop quickly and weather conditions may deteriorate through the day. You may need a rain jacket and warm clothing.
- Guests are required to share any medications, physical limitations, dietary restrictions or allergies in advance with the guide
- Some of the hikes are challenging and include steep sections, requiring a moderate level of fitness from all participants. Guests should discuss any concerns about the difficulty of the hike with the guide. There are options for easier or more challenging hikes.
- Some hikes may not be suitable for very young children. Parents/caregivers are responsible for taking care of children at all times.
